Guest Registration Data

As a guest, you are required by the Austrian Registration Act to register the specified data with us in accordance with § 5 and § 10 of the Registration Act.

This concerns the following data: name, date of birth, gender, nationality, country of origin, address including postal code, arrival and departure date; for guests from abroad, a description of the travel document (type, number, date of issue, issuing authority) is required.

We will keep this data in a guest directory based on the legal obligation imposed on us in accordance with § 19 of the Reporting Act Implementation Ordinance and store it for a period of 7 (seven) years, as long as the data is not needed for a longer processing period for purposes other than referred to in this data privacy policy (e.g., you may have given your consent to receive marketing materials).

The data for arrival and departure in connection with the country of origin is forwarded to the municipality in which our accommodation facility is located in accordance with § 6 of the Tourism Statistics Ordinance. The respective tourism association (TVB) to which we belong and/or the municipality also has aggregated data forwarded to them based on the number of overnight stays and persons obliged to pay the local tourism tax. This takes place in accordance with the local Tourism Tax Act.

The related processing steps are based on Art. 6 par. 1 lit. c GDPR.

In addition, we forward the postal code (in pseudonymized or anonymized form) you have provided to the respective tourism association (TVB) and/or the respective municipality for statistical purposes for the TVB to prepare and evaluate the statistics of origin. This forwarding is based on Art. 6 par. 1 f GDPR. You can object to this at any time to your tourist accommodation facility.

For electronic guest directories:

We manage the guest directory electronically, whereby we forward the related data to a processor. The data is stored with this processor. Transfer of data to a third country will never take place.
